More than two decades after the ADA took effect, many Amtrak stations across the country are not fully accessible to those with disabilities, a new report finds.
Jane Sleeth‘s insight:
The US’s ADA requires customers and in this case passengers to adopt a litigious approach to accessibility. This is a slow and ineffective way to ensure businesses including Amtrak become accessible to ALL passengers. The AODA in Ontario takes a broader approach to accessibility. The only thing missing is a Provincial leader who backs the AODA ACT fully in both words and actions. #JESleeth Optimal Peformance
