Now we can see at OPC why employers are hesitant to hire ergonomic expertise. They fear the ergonomist will simply recommend new equipment and furniture. Any certified Ergonomist who is good at their science will ensure equipment is only recommended if and where indicated by careful study of the workplace and if recommended will be based on the employers current standards of furniture, equipment and seating.
